Lakers hoping to bounce back from rare loss
Dec 20, 2008 - 3:06 PM LA Lakers (21-4) at Orlando (20-6) 7:00 pm ESTORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Lakers look to bounce back from a rare loss on Saturday when they visit the red-hot Orlando Magic.
Kobe Bryant scored 28 points, but missed a game-tying jumper at the buzzer as the Lakers endured an 89-87 loss to the Miami Heat on Friday, snapping a four-game win streak.
Derek Fisher and Pau Gasol scored 13 points apiece for Los Angeles, which suffered only its fourth loss this season, but third this month.
The Lakers face another tough test agianst the Magic, who continued won their third straight game with a 90-78 triumph over San Antonio on Thursday.
After missing two games with a sore knee, Dwight Howard scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, leading Orlando to its seventh win in the last eight games.
The Magic have challenges starting with the game and a Christmas contest against New Orleans.
