With Wade in zone, Heat host Bulls

Dec 26, 2008 - 11:24 AM Chicago (13-15) at Miami (15-12) 5:00 p.m. EST

MIAMI (Ticker) -- As Dwyane Wade goes, so do the Miami Heat.

After nearly collecting a triple-double in his last contest, Wade hopes to lead the Heat to a four-game winning streak when they take on the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

It was an inconsistent first month for Miami, which did not win or lose more than two straight over its first 17 games. The month of December also has been a streaky one for the Heat, who started the month with four consecutive wins, then lost three straight before their current three-game winning streak.

After scoring 34.8 points per game in the first four contests in the year's final month, Wade averaged just 17.7 in the next three - all losses. But the All-Star has regained his form lately, scoring 36.7 per game in his last three and falling just short of his first triple-double of the season Tuesday.

Wade had 32 points, eight assists and eight rebounds to lead Miami to a 96-88 win over Golden State.

Chicago opened a four-game road trip in losing fashion Tuesday, dropping a 104-98 decision in Detroit. The Bulls are just 3-11 on the road and have lost five straight away from home.

Larry Hughes scored 19 points off the bench while Ben Gordon and Andres Nocioni added 18 apiece.
