Raptors, Kings enduring month to forget

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The Sacramento Kings' futility in December is nearly a mirror image of the Toronto Raptors' struggles this month.

The Kings, who have won twice in 10 games this month, look to end a four-game losing streak Friday when they host the Raptors.

Sacramento's last win came in a 118-103 victory against the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves on December 15, the same day the team fired coach Reggie Theus after a 6-18 start and replaced him with assistant Kenny Natt on an interim basis.

The change has done little to turn around Sacramento, which endured a 101-85 setback to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday in the finale of a four-game road trip.

The Raptors also fired their coach, Sam Mitchell, parting ways with the 2006-07 NBA Coach of the Year on December 3, one night after the team fell in a franchise-worst 132-93 loss at Denver.

Interim coach Jay Triano has failed to find success since taking over, guiding Toronto to just three wins in 11 games.

The Raptors managed to snap a five-game skid with a 97-75 victory against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Chris Bosh poured in 31 points to lead three players who scored in double figures for Toronto. Jermaine O'Neal added 23 and Anthony Parker netted 12.
