Spurs look for more success against Grizzlies

SAN ANTONIO (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs seek their fifth straight victory when they host the Memphis Grizzlies in a battle of Southwest Division foes on Saturday.

After starting the season 2-5, Tony Parker and the Spurs have regrouped and put together a 10--2 stretch.

They have a good opportunity to extend their impressive run against Memphis, which has lost eight in a row at the AT&T Center.

San Antonio is coming off a thrilling 91-90 win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday, when Roger Mason Jr. hit a 3-pointer from the corner as time expired.

Parker scored 27 points and dished eight assists, while Tim Duncan recorded 25 points and 17 rebounds as the Spurs scored 90-plus points for the fourth straight contest.

The Grizzlies snapped a four-game losing streak with a 108-105 triumph over the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

Despite its shoddy record, Memphis is 5-4 over its last nine games thanks to a season-high, four-game winning streak prior to its recent skid.

O.J. Mayo has scored at least 10 points in 27 of his first 29 games, and leads all rookies at 19.8 points per game.
