Thunder open homestand against Suns

Dec 29, 2008 - 3:09 PM Phoenix (16-12) at Oklahoma City (3-28), 8:00 p.m. EST

OKLAHOMA CITY (Ticker) -- If the Oklahoma City Thunder are ever going to make something of their dreadful season, their upcoming homestand would be a good place to start.

Oklahoma City opens a season-high four-game homestand on Monday when it hosts the Phoenix Suns.

The Thunder have yet to find a consistent winning formula this season and are coming off a 104-95 setback to the Washington Wizards on Saturday. The win improved Washington's record to 5-23.

Kevin Durant has done his best for Oklahoma City, scoring at least 25 points in seven straight games. He had 25 and 11 rebounds in Saturday's loss.

Phoenix is coming off a heartbreaking 91-90 setback to the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Roger Mason hit the game-winning 3-pointer as time expired.

Amare Stoudemire had 25 points and 13 rebounds in the loss, his fifth double-double in his last six contests.

The Suns, who won at the Thunder, 99-98, back on November 25, have not won on the road in the month of December, going 0-4.
