LeBron, Wade face off again as Cavs put win streak on the line

Dec 30, 2008 - 11:29 AM Cleveland (26-4) at Miami (16-13) 7:30 p.m. EST

MIAMI (Ticker) -- For the second time in three days, the NBA's two leading scorers - and two of the top MVP candidates - will square off in a head-to-head battle.

LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers visit the Miami Heat on Tuesday night in the back end of a home-and-home set. The Cavs took the first leg with a 93-86 triumph in Cleveland on Sunday, improving to a league-best 16-0 at home in the process.

The Heat, whose four-game winning streak was snapped, get a shot at revenge in the rematch back home, but are facing a red-hot squad that has won six in a row and is challenging for the best record in the NBA.

Once again, Tuesday's Eastern Conference clash will be a spotlight for two of the biggest stars in the league. Together, James and Wade combine to post 56.4 points, 13.3 assists and 11.8 rebounds per contest.

After spending the summer as teammates for the U.S. Olympic team that brought home the gold medal from Beijing, the two now have their sights set on the springtime. This home-and-home may be a preview for a potential playoff series.

James got the better of Wade in Round One, registering 33 points, nine assists and six boards to lead the way for the Cavs. Wade did his part as well, putting up 29 points and eight assists as Miami fell just short.
