Johnson, Hawks look to keep rolling
Dec 30, 2008 - 11:28 AM Atlanta (20-10) at Indiana (10-20) 7:00 p.m. ESTINDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- The Atlanta Hawks aim for their sixth straight win on Tuesday when they visit the Indiana Pacers.
Atlanta, which has at least 20 wins before the month of January for the first time since the 1987-88 campaign, is coming off an impressive 7-1 homestand.
While their only loss on the homestand came by three points against the Boston Celtics, the Hawks defeated the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons before wrapping up the stretch with a 109-91 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
One game after scoring 41 points, Joe Johnson led the way for Atlanta again with 25 on Monday.
Indiana has been going in the opposite direction, dropping three straight games and 10 of its last 13.
Danny Granger scored 34 points but the Pacers fell to the New Orleans Hornets, 105-103, on Sunday.
