Celtics end road trip at Blazers

Dec 30, 2008 - 11:27 AM Boston (28-4) at Portland (19-12) 10:00 p.m. EST

PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics will try to finish their four-game road trip on a high note when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.

After dropping the first two games of their trip - and getting their franchise-record 19-game winning streak snapped in the process - Boston responded with a 108-63 thumping at Sacramento on Sunday.

Kevin Garnett had 21 points on 10-of-11 shooting and added 11 rebounds for Boston, which held Sacramento to just 28 percent (19-of-68) shooting.

The Celtics have had recent success against the Trail Blazers, winning the last seven meetings. Boston won the first contest this season, 93-78, on December 5 and will be going for its fourth straight sweep in the season series.

Portland has alternated wins and losses over its last four games, but the club is 11-3 at the Rose Garden this season.

Brandon Roy scored 14 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter as the Blazers defeated the Toronto Raptors, 102-89, on Saturday. It was Roy's fifth 30-point game in the month of December.
