Spurs look to rebound against Grizzlies
Jan 2, 2009 - 11:09 AM San Antonio (20-11) at Memphis (10-22), 8:00 p.m. ESTMEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs hope to get back on track when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.
San Antonio had its five-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday with a 100-98 home loss to Milwaukee. Tim Duncan, who led the way with 22 points, missed the game-tying shot from short range just before the buzzer. Tony Parker added 19 points and 10 assists.
Memphis, which appears to be headed to its third straight losing season, has lost three straight and seven of its last eight.
Hakim Warrick scored 25 points off the bench and Marc Gasol had 16 and 13 rebounds but the Grizzlies fell to the Phoenix Suns, 101-89, on Tuesday.
San Antonio has won the first three meetings with Memphis this season, including last Saturday's 106-103 overtime victory.
