Bucks, Bobcats open home-and-home

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Bucks host the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday in the opener of a home-and-home series.

Milwaukee visits Charlotte on Saturday.

Following a win at San Antonio, the Bucks were defeated, 85-81, at Houston on Wednesday. Michael Redd scored 20 points and Luke Ridnour added 11 and 11 assists in the setback.

Despite the loss, Milwaukee could view December as a success as it enjoyed its first winning month (8-6) since going 7-6 in November last season.

Winning is something Charlotte has not done a lot of in its five years of existence. The team has had 11 wins or fewer on New Year's Day in each of its five seasons.

The Bobcats are currently on a two-game losing streak, which includes Tuesday's 93-89 setback to New York. Gerald Wallace scored 21 points and Boris Diaw added 20 in the loss.

Milwaukee has won the last four meetings, including two this season.
