O'Neal, Claderon hoping to return to Raptors

Jan 9, 2009 - 11:45 AM Memphis (11-25) at Toronto (15-21) 7:00 p.m. EST

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Raptors hope to have a couple key players back in uniform on Friday when they host the slumping Memphis Grizzlies.

Andrea Bargnani had 25 points to lead five players in double figures in the shorthanded Raptors' 99-93 victory over the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

Chris Bosh scored half of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and added eight rebounds and six assists for Toronto, which never trailed en route to its third win in four games.

The Raptors were without Jermaine O'Neal (right knee contusion) and Jose Calderon (strained right hamstring), neither of whom traveled with the team on their two-game road trip. Jamario Moon also missed the swing for the birth of his daughter on Wednesday.

O'Neal, who is averaging 14.0 points and 7.3 rebounds and has missed four straight games, has not been ruled out for the Grizzlies contest. After missing the previous three contests, Calderon could also return against the Grizzlies.

A meeting with the Grizzlies would help O'Neal and Calderon shake off any rust and ease back into the rotation.

Memphis has lost each of its last two games, including a 100-89 setback against the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday, and has only two wins in its last 11 contests.
