Granger, Pacers end road trip at Jazz

Jan 12, 2009 - 3:12 PM Indiana (13-24) at Utah (22-15), 9:00 p.m. EST

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Despite the best efforts of Danny Granger, the Indiana Pacers have not found a way to win many close games this season.

Indiana will try and end a five-game road trip on a high note when it visits the Utah Jazz on Monday.

The Pacers have dropped three of four on the road trip thus far, with two of the losses decided by a combined five points. Indiana, which has scored at least 100 points in 10 straight games, is coming off a 120-117 loss at Golden State on Sunday.

Granger matched his career high with 42 points in the loss as Jamal Crawford made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 11 seconds left to play. The fourth-year pro has topped the 30-point mark in four of his past five games.

Utah has won three straight contests and come in with a formidable 15-4 record at home this season.

Mehmet Okur scored 22 points as Utah cruised past Detroit, 99-82, on Saturday.

Paul Millsap had an uncharacteristic nine points and seven rebounds in the win, which snapped his streak of 19 straight double-doubles.
