Nets eye fourth straight home win
Jan 12, 2009 - 3:18 PM Oklahoma City (6-32) at New Jersey (18-19), 7:30 p.m. ESTEAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- After struggling at the IZOD Center to start the season, the New Jersey Nets are starting to take advantage of their home court.
The Nets will try for their fourth consecutive home victory when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
New Jersey dropped 12 of its first 17 games at home but have won three straight, including a 100-89 triumph over Memphis last Wednesday. The Nets have not had a losing record at home since the 2000-01 campaign.
Vince Carter fell just short of a triple-double Friday, recording 23 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds in New Jersey's 104-102 loss at Milwaukee. Luke Ridnour hit the game-winning jumper with under one second remaining.
Oklahoma City is starting to play better of late, winning three of its past six after winning just three of its first 32.
Kevin Durant had 28 points and 12 rebounds as the Thunder posted a 109-98 overtime victory at the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
The win snapped a nine-game road losing streak for Oklahoma City, which is 2-16 away from home.
