Bucks look for consistency, take on Wizards

Jan 12, 2009 - 3:21 PM Milwaukee (18-21) at Washington (7-29) 7:00 p.m. EST

WASHINGTON (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Bucks have alternated wins and losses over their last nine games, stalling their efforts to return to .500 for the first time since mid-November.

They will look to avoid back-to-back losses for the first time in over a month when they take on the Washington Wizards on Monday.

The return of Andrew Bogut to the lineup could play a big part in the push to an even win-loss record. Bogut missed the last four games with back spasms before coming off the bench in Saturday's 106-104 loss to Minnesota.

The Australian center had 14 points on 7-of-8 from the field and grabbed seven rebounds in 28 solid minutes, but Milwaukee blew a 13-point second-half lead in its third straight road loss.

Michael Redd has caught fire for the Bucks recently, averaging 27.8 points over his last four, including 32 in the loss to the Timberwolves.

Washington is in the midst of a four-game losing streak and owns the worst record in the Eastern Conference by a full six-game margin.

Caron Butler and Raja Bell scored 19 points apiece in a 92-89 loss to Charlotte on Saturday.

The Wizards, who own the league's 28th-ranked scoring offense at 93.4 points per game, are averaging 85.1 points in their last seven games.
