Blazers, Sixers put winning streaks on the line

Jan 14, 2009 - 11:25 AM Portland (23-14) at Philadelphia (17-20) 7:00 p.m. EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Portland Trail Blazers aim for their fourth straight win on Wednesday when they continue a four-game road trip against the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Blazers used a complete team effort on Monday to continue their winning ways with a 109-95 victory against the Chicago Bulls.

All-Star Brandon Roy scored 11 points on 3-of-13 shooting in his second game back from a strained hamstring and LaMarcus Aldridge also struggled, registering eight points - more than

nine below his season average of 17.6.

Travis Outlaw scored 23 of his season-high 33 points in the second half, Greg Oden added 17 points and 13 rebounds and Steve Blake contributed 16 and 10 assists for Portland, which knocked down 11-of-23 shots from the arc and 30-of-34 from the free-throw line.

The Blazers will need more of the same against the surging 76ers, who earned their season-high fourth straight win on Sunday, forging a 109-94 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Andre Iguodala poured in 27 points and Thaddeus Young added 22 and grabbed nine rebounds for Philadelphia, which ended the game on a 26-13 run after the Hawks trimmed a 10-point deficit to 83-81 in the first minute of the fourth quarter.
