Kings try to bounce back after enduring NBA record

Jan 14, 2009 - 11:25 AM Sacramento (9-30) at Golden State (11-28) 10:30 p.m. EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Sacramento Kings are happy to be facing a team that struggles from 3-point range.

After ending up on the wrong end of an NBA record during their last game, the Kings try to bounce back Wednesday when they visit the Golden State Warriors.

Sacramento suffered a 139-107 drubbing against Orlando on Tuesday that saw the Magic set a league record by hitting 23 3-pointers. Orlando had nine players connect from long range and Jameer Nelson led the way, hitting 5-of-5 from beyond the arc.

Overall, the Magic, who rank third in the NBA in 3-point shooting, were 23-of-37 from long range (62 percent) and 49-of-81 overall (60.5 percent).

The Kings, who snapped a five-game losing streak with a 102-95 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, shouldn't have to worry about 3-pointers against the Warriors.

Golden State ranks 22nd in the league, making 34.4 percent from the arc this season but made 10-of-23 3-pointers (43.5 percent), ending a five-game slide with a 120-117 victory against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

Marco Belinelli scored 17 points before leaving in the fourth quarter with a sprained right ankle that will keep him out for at least 10 days.
