Iguodala, Sixers look to keep rolling

Jan 19, 2009 - 2:02 PM Dallas (23-17) at Philadelphia (20-20), 1:00 p.m. EST

PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia 76ers have started to play some of their best basketball without Elton Brand. With his return looming, they are hoping the transition will be smooth.

Philadelphia eyes its eighth straight victory when it hosts the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.

The seven-game winning streak has gotten the Sixers back to .500 for the first time since they were 7-7 on November 24.

Andre Iguodala had 28 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists as Philadelphia posted a 107-97 victory at New York on Saturday. It was the seventh time in eight games that the Sixers topped the 100-point mark.

Brand, who has been out with a dislocated right shoulder for the past 15 games, could make his return Monday. The Sixers are 9-6 during the stretch.

The Mavericks snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday as Dirk Nowitzki scored 39 points to lead Dallas to a 115-108 victory over Utah. Nowitzki had scored 44 points two games earlier.

Jason Terry added 22 points for Dallas, which is 0-4 on the road this month.

Dallas won the first meeting, 96-86, on January 2.
