Roy, Blazers return home to face Bucks
Jan 19, 2009 - 2:00 PM Milwaukee (20-23) at Portland (24-16), 10:00 pm ESTPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Brandon Roy and the Portland Trail Blazers hope a return to the Rose Garden on Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks can help reverse their fortunes.
Roy scored 17 points as the Trail Blazers suffered a 102-97 overtime loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday. Portland split a four-game road trip against sub-.500 Eastern Conference teams.
The 24-year-old Roy, who is averaging 22.6 points and 5.2 assists this season, made just 3-of-10 free throws before fouling out of the contest. He played 45 minutes.
Richard Jefferson poured in 26 points and Michael Redd added 21 as the Bucks fell to the Los Angeles Clippers, 101-92, on Saturday.
Milwaukee was outrebounded by a 48-30 margin without center Andrew Bogut, who will miss his third straight game with a back injury.
Bogut, who did not travel with the team for the three-game road trip, leads the Bucks with 10.4 rebounds per game.
