Warriors go for season-long win streak vs. Thunder

Jan 21, 2009 - 11:23 AM Oklahoma City (8-34) at Golden State (13-29) 10:30 p.m. EST

OAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The Golden State Warriors have started a season-high, seven-game homestand with wins in three of their first four games.

They will look for their first three-game winning streak of the season when they host the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday.

Jamal Crawford has led Golden State in scoring in six of its last seven contests, including a 28-point performance in a 119-98 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday.

Stephen Jackson added 26 points as the Warriors broke the 100-point mark for the 11th straight game. The 98 points scored by the Wizards marked the first time in that same span their opponent did not score at least 100 points as well.

Oklahoma City already has four wins in the month of January, which matches its win total over the first two-plus months of the season. Its 4-5 mark this month has pulled it within one game of Washington (8-32) for the worst record in the NBA.

After back-to-back impressive wins over Utah and Detroit, the Thunder fell, 104-94, to the Miami Heat on Sunday. Kevin Durant scored 31 points and Jeff Green added 22 in the losing effort.

The Thunder and Warriors split a pair of matchups in Oklahoma City during the month of December and will meet again in Golden State on February 21.
