Raptors, Bulls searching for win

Jan 23, 2009 - 11:19 AM Toronto (16-28) at Chicago (18-25) 8:30 p.m. EST

CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Teams desperate for a victory meet on Friday when the Toronto Raptors visit the Chicago Bulls.

Chris Bosh scored 19 points and Andreas Bargnani added 16, but it wasn't enough as the Raptors suffered their seventh straight loss, a 95-76 drubbing by the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

The loss was Toronto's 11th consecutive in Detroit, a streak that dates to April 2, 2003. The Raptors have dropped 13 of their last 16 decisions overall against the Pistons and are 6-21 all-time at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

Coach Jay Triano believes his team needs to remain confident even when things aren't going its way.

"We tried to go inside and we just couldn't score," Triano said. "We missed a couple of shots and got deflated. Whenever we get down, we lose confidence in ourselves."

The Bulls are running low on confidence as well after suffering their third straight loss, a 105-102 setback to the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday.

Ben Gordon had 21 points for Chicago, which has lost five or its last seven games and owns a 4-7 record this month.
