Struggling Kings embark on four-game road trip

Jan 24, 2009 - 11:33 AM Sacramento (10-33) at Milwaukee (21-25) 8:30 p.m. EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- As if the Sacramento Kings didn't have enough problems, they are now embarking on a road trip that will take them through Eastern Conference powers the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Kings will begin their trip with a slightly less intimidating opponent, the Milwaukee Bucks, on Saturday.

Sacramento has been torched on defense lately, allowing an average of 125.8 points over the last five games - four losses. The defenseless string has dropped the Kings to next-to-last in the NBA in overall scoring defense at 107.7 points per game.

Sacramento has been particularly bad on the road, going 3-18 away from Arco Arena, and against Eastern Conference teams, compiling an 0-14 mark.

One of those Eastern Conference losses came against the Bucks on January 16, when Michael Redd went off for 44 points in the first three quarters on 16-of-26 shooting in a 129-122 win. Milwaukee had five players score at least 16 points each in the contest.

Redd was held to 16 on Friday, however, as the Bucks suffered a 117-87 loss at Atlanta. Milwaukee shot 38 percent (30-of-79) while allowing the Hawks to shoot 56 percent (43-of-77).

Center Andrew Bogut has missed the last five games for the Bucks due to back spasms but could return for limited minutes.
