Calderon, Raptors hope to start streak of winning variety vs. Kings

TORONTO (Ticker) -- The return of their point guard helped the Toronto Raptors halt a losing streak. They will look to prolong the slide of the Sacramento Kings when the teams meet Sunday.

Jose Calderon returned to the lineup in a big way Friday after missing six straight games, recording a double-double with 23 points and 10 assists as Toronto snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 114-94 win over Chicago.

The floor general has been battling a strained hamstring since the beginning of January and missed four games before returning prematurely and aggravating the injury on January 11, which marked the first loss in the Raptors' seven-game slide.

He was nearly perfect against the Bulls, making 9-of-10 from the field without committing a single turnover.

Andrea Bargnani added 22 points as the Raptors closed the game on a 23-4 run.

Sacramento is in the midst of a four-game slide and has lost 10 of 12, including a heartbreaking 106-104 defeat to Milwaukee Saturday.

Brad Miller finished an assist shy of a triple-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds, but missed a pair of shots late as the Kings fell to 0-17 against the Eastern Conference.

Kevin Martin scored 20 points but committed six turnovers against the shorthanded Bucks, who were without Andrew Bogut and lost Michael Redd to a right knee injury in the third quarter.
