Trail Blazers visit shorthanded Clippers

Jan 26, 2009 - 3:03 PM Portland (26-17) at LA Clippers (10-33), 10:30 p.m. EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Portland Trail Blazers go for a second straight win when they visit the lowly Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Portland capped a 2-1 homestand with a 100-87 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday.

Brandon Roy scored 22 points and rookie Greg Oden had 18 and 14 rebounds in the win. Oden had a career-high 24 points and 15 rebounds against Milwaukee last Monday.

Meanwhile, the Clippers lineup continues to be in shambles.

Los Angeles fell to Golden State, 107-92, on Sunday as Baron Davis missed his 13th straight game with a bruised tailbone. Davis said that he is targeting a return on Wednesday against Chicago.

Also out of commission for Los Angeles were Marcus Camby (sprained left ankle), Zach Randolph (sore left knee), Chris Kaman (strained left arch), and Mike Taylor (fractured right thumb).

Rookie Eric Gordon, who scored a season-high 41 points in a win against Oklahoma City on Friday, led the way with 21 points in the loss to Golden State. It was Los Angeles' 15th loss in its last 17 games.
