Redd-less Bucks host Timberwolves

Jan 26, 2009 - 3:17 PM Minnesota (15-27) at Milwaukee (22-25), 8:00 p.m. EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- One day after learning their star player is out for the season, the Milwaukee Bucks will try and regroup when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.

Currently holding the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference, Milwaukee received some bad news when it learned Michael Redd will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee.

Redd, who was leading the team in scoring at 21.2 points, missed 14 games earlier in the season with a right ankle sprain and the Bucks went 5-9 during that stretch.

Richard Jefferson scored 20 points as the Bucks won for the 10th time in their last 13 home games with a 106-104 victory over the Sacramento Kings.

Minnesota comes in as one of the hotter teams over the past month and had a 109-108 overtime victory over Chicago on Sunday.

Al Jefferson scored a season-high 39 points and rookie Kevin Love added 19 and 15 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who improved to 9-2 in January.
