Magic aim to snap brief slide

Jan 27, 2009 - 2:32 PM Indiana (17-27) at Orlando (33-10), 7:00 p.m. EST

ORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The Orlando Magic hope to avoid a season-high third straight loss when they host the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.

After impressively sweeping a four-game road trip on the West Coast, Orlando lost to Boston on Thursday and followed with a 103-97 setback at Miami on Friday. Dwight Howard had 22 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to the Heat.

It was the first time since the first two games of the season that the Magic have lost back-to-back contests.

Indiana will be going for its third straight win after posting a 98-93 triumph over Charlotte on Sunday.

Danny Granger continued his All-Star worthy season with 27 points in the victory. He is averaging 28.9 points in the month of January.

The Pacers will have to find a way to improve on the road where they have lost five straight and are 6-18 overall.
