Woeful Kings hope to shake woes against Bulls

Jan 30, 2009 - 11:16 AM Chicago (19-27) at Sacramento (10-37), 10:00 p.m. EST

SACRAMENTO, California (Ticker) -- The Sacramento Kings may have found the perfect situation to finally end their losing streak.

Sacramento hopes a return to its home floor can help snap a seven-game skid when they host the Chicago Bulls on Friday.

The Kings have dominated the Bulls in their own building recently, winning nine straight meetings dating back to 1997.

Sacramento, which is 3-22 on the road, was swept on its four-game road trip, culminating in a 119-100 loss at Boston on Wednesday. John Salmons scored 22 points and rookie Jason Thompson added 21 and 11 rebounds in defeat.

The setback dropped the Kings' mark against the Eastern Conference to 0-20 this season, and Sacramento currently owns the worst record in the West.

Chicago will hope to continue that trend as it plays the third contest of its season-high, seven-game road trip.

After dropping the opener of the trip in overtime at Minnesota, the Bulls bounced back with a 95-75 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.

Luol Deng scored 23 points in the win to lead Chicago, which won the first meeting, 99-94, on January 6.

The Kings have allowed 110 points or more in eight of their last nine games.
