Pacers host Knicks looking for eighth straight at home

Jan 31, 2009 - 11:19 AM New York (20-25) at Indiana (19-28) 7:00 p.m. EST

INDIANAPOLIS (Ticker) -- After posting a pedestrian 6-9 mark over their first 15 home games, the Indiana Pacers are perfect at Conseco Fieldhouse in 2009.

They put that streak on the line for the second consecutive night when they host the suddenly-hot New York Knicks on Saturday.

Indiana has won seven in a row on its home court to counteract its current six-game road losing streak. The Pacers played the role of rude host to another streaking team in their last contest, topping the Miami Heat 114-103 on Friday for their 13th straight home win over the Heat.

The Pacers were on fire from behind the arc, knocking down a season-high 15 3-pointers while sinking 25-of-29 free-throw attempts. Mike Dunleavy scored a season-high 30 points with four 3-pointers while Troy Murphy made five from long range for 19 points while grabbing 12 rebounds.

All-Star Danny Granger also had 19 for Indiana, which has won four of five.

The Knicks have won five of six, but have just one win in their last six road games. However, that win did come over Western Conference power New Orleans on January 12.

Nate Robinson carried New York to a 112-104 win over Atlanta on Wednesday, scoring 20 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter to snap a five-game slide against the Hawks.

David Lee collected 17 points and 16 rebounds for his 34th double-double of the season and Chris Duhon added 16 points and 11 assists.
