Magic full of confidence entering tilt with Raptors

Feb 1, 2009 - 12:05 PM Orlando (35-10) at Toronto (19-29) 12:00 p.m. EST

TORONTO (Ticker) -- It was an outstanding week for the Orlando Magic.

The Magic hope to continue that momentum on Sunday when they visit the Toronto Raptors seeking their third straight win.

After throttling the Indiana Pacers, 135-111, on Tuesday, Rashard Lewis and Jameer Nelson joined starter Dwight Howard when they were named as Eastern Conference All-Star reserves on Thursday, giving Orlando the most representatives of any team.

The Magic celebrated the All-Star haul by cruising past the Cleveland Cavaliers, 99-88, on Thursday.

Lewis and Nelson combined for 37 points and Howard posted his league-leading 35th double-double for Orlando, which turned a seven-point edge at the end of the third quarter into an insurmountable lead with a 20-2 run to start the fourth.

Winners of nine of their last 11, the Magic are likely to continue their winning ways against the Raptors, who had a three-game win streak snapped on Friday, suffering a 96-85 decision to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Toronto managed only 17 points in the second quarter against the Bucks. The Raptors failed to reverse that trend after emerging from the locker rooms, scoring only 12 points on 25 percent shooting (5-of-20) in the third.
