Mavericks look to sweep Florida vs. Magic
Feb 2, 2009 - 2:40 PM Dallas (27-19) at Orlando (36-10) 7:00 p.m. ESTORLANDO, Florida (Ticker) -- The Dallas Mavericks have have looked unstoppable over their last two games. The Orlando Magic will try to bring them back to earth.
The Mavericks will be looking to sweep through the state of Florida when they face the Magic on Monday.
After an up-and-down week, Dallas put two solid performances in a row together last week, ripping Golden State, 117-93, on Wednesday at home before dominating the Miami Heat, 111-96, in a road contest on Saturday.
The Mavericks shot 60 percent from the floor on Saturday, led by Dirk Nowitzki's 30 points on 12-of-14 shooting.
Dallas should find points harder to come by against the Magic, who allow an average of 94 points per game.
Orlando has won its last three games and is coming off a 113-90 triumph at Toronto on Sunday.
All-Star Dwight Howard had 29 points and 14 rebounds to lead six players in double figures for the Magic. Mickael Pietrus scored 22 points off the bench in his third game back from a broken right wrist.
