Spurs visit Warriors seeking fourth straight win
Feb 2, 2009 - 2:41 PM San Antonio (32-14) at Golden State (15-33), 10:30 p.m. ESTOAKLAND, California (Ticker) -- The San Antonio Spurs seek their fourth straight victory when they kick off a season-high eight-game road trip against the Golden State Warriors on Monday.
Despite enduring some struggles on the offensive end, San Antonio finished with the best record in the NBA in January (12-3).
The Spurs failed to score 100 points in six straight contests, but have reached that mark in each of their last three.
Tony Parker scored 25 points and five other players notched double-figures for San Antonio in Saturday's 106-93 triumph over the New Orleans Hornets.
Forced into the extensive trek due to the rodeo at AT&T Center, the Spurs have gone 35-13 over the previous six seasons - including 6-3 in 2007-08 - during the annual trip.
Golden State, meanwhile, has lost four of six and 10 of 15 - including Saturday's 110-93 drubbing at the hands of the Houston Rockets.
The Warriors begin a stretch of playing seven of their next eight games at home, where they are 10-11 this season.
