Pistons visit depleted Bucks seeking second straight win

Feb 7, 2009 - 1:07 PM Detroit (26-21) at Milwaukee (24-28) 8:30 p.m. EST

MILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Detroit Pistons are hoping an ugly win will produce a string of beautiful victories.

The Pistons go for back-to-back wins on Saturday when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

After suffering two straight losses and dropping nine of its previous 12 decisions, Detroit escaped with a 93-90 victory over the Miami Heat on Wednesday, when both teams struggled to take charge until Rodney Stuckey hit a circus shot over Dwyane Wade in the final minute to seal the win.

The Pistons made only 15-of-23 free throws and committed 18 turnovers, but limited the Heat to 39 percent (32-of-83) shooting.

"When you're struggling and get a win, it'll usually be an ugly one," Detroit coach Michael Curry said. "We turned the ball over (18) times, which isn't like us. That'll put you in a

tough situation."

Another strong defensive performance should be enough to get a win against the Bucks, who are 2-3 since losing leading-scorer Michael Redd for the season on January 25 due to a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee.

The Bucks are also without center Andrew Bogut, who will be sidelined a minimum of eight weeks with an incomplete stress fracture in his lower back.

Without the duo, Milwaukee endured a 99-85 setback to the New Jersey Nets on Tuesday.
