Clippers aim for three straight vs. Bobcats

Feb 9, 2009 - 2:16 PM LA Clippers (12-39) at Charlotte (19-31) 7:00 p.m. EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Clippers have reached the last stop on a six-game road trip and improbably have a chance to head home even.

The Clippers will be looking for their third straight win when they visit the struggling Charlotte Bobcats on Monday.

Los Angeles has exploded over the last two games, putting 126 and 121 points on the board in wins over Memphis and Atlanta, respectively.

The outbursts mark the first and second highest scoring performances of the year for the Clippers, who had been sitting in last in the Western Conference in points per game.

A win on Monday would give Los Angeles its second three-game winning streak of the season.

The Bobcats hope to have reinforcements in the form of forward Vladimir Radmanovic by the time the game tips off. Radmanovic was acquired from the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday and was with the team on Sunday, but is not available to play until Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown, who were sent to the Lakers in the deal, pass physicals.

Charlotte put up a fight on Sunday but fell to the Miami Heat, 96-92. D.J. Augustin scored 27 points and Juwan Howard chipped in a season-high 14.
