Bibby's status uncertain when Hawks host Wizards

ATLANTA (Ticker) -- After a lackluster performance, the Atlanta Hawks hope to have Mike Bibby back in the lineup Tuesday when they host the lowly Washington Wizards.

Bibby, who is averaging 16.1 points and 5.4 assists per game, missed Saturday's contest against the Los Angeles Clippers with a sprained left foot suffered during Friday's 102-97 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Without the veteran guard in the lineup, Atlanta's two-game winning streak came to an end as it suffered an ugly 121-97 loss to the Clippers, who racked up 38 assists - twice as many as the Hawks.

The lone bright spot in the game was the return of Joe Johnson after a two-game absence due to the flu. Atlanta's leading scorer, Johnson scored 17 points but showed signs of rust, hitting only 6-of-15 shots from the floor in 33 minutes.

The Wizards snapped a three-game losing streak with a 119-117 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

The win was only Washington's second in its last 10 games overall.
