Lowly Kings visit Grizzlies

Feb 20, 2009 - 3:08 PM Sacramento (11-44) at Memphis (15-39), 8:00 p.m. EST

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (Ticker) -- The Sacramento Kings have had trouble winning anywhere this season, but none more so than on the road.

Sacramento hopes to snap a nine-game road losing streak when it visits the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday.

Losers of six straight and 14 of 15 overall, the Kings own the worst record in the NBA and the worst mark away from home at 3-26.

Kevin Martin had 32 points and 11 rebounds in the Kings' latest loss, a 105-100 setback at home to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.

Memphis comes in on a three-game losing streak of its own, but the Grizzlies have won consecutive contests at home.

Rudy Gay scored 20 points and rookie O.J. Mayo had 19 as the Grizzlies fell at the Portland Trail Blazers, 94-90, on Wednesday.

The contest should mark the Sacramento debut of Drew Gooden and Andres Nocioni, who were acquired from the Chicago Bulls among others for Brad Miller and John Salmons on Wednesday.
