Blazers try to build momentum on road trip
Dec 6, 2006 - 5:00 PM Portland (7-12) at Milwaukee (6-11) 8:00 pm ESTMILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Portland Trail Blazers have some unexpected momentum to build upon when they continue their season-high six-game road trip against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.
The Trail Blazers started their trek with a surprising 88-85 triumph over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, ending a five-game losing streak.
A jumper by Zach Randolph, who finished with 31 points and 13 rebounds, put the Blazers in front for good with 21 seconds left. Jarrett Jack scored 18 points and rookie LaMarcus Aldridge recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Bucks just came off a four-game trek which they closed with a 101-88 setback against the Utah Jazz on Monday.
Charlie Bell netted 23 points, including four 3-pointers, and Michael Redd had 18 points for Milwaukee, which was outrebounded, 48-34.
The Blazers lost both meetings with the Bucks last season.
