Jazz look to close out perfect homestand vs. Hawks

Feb 23, 2009 - 2:41 PM Atlanta (32-23) at Utah (33-23), 9:00 p.m. EST

SALT LAKE CITY (Ticker) -- Fresh off an emotional victory, the Utah Jazz will look to honor their late owner with a perfect homestand.

The Jazz host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday with a chance to end their homestand with a 5-0 record.

Longtime Jazz owner Larry Miller died due to complications from type 2 diabetes on Friday, and the franchise held an emotional ceremony for its owner prior to Saturday's 102-88 win over the New Orleans Hornets.

While the Jazz head out on the road after Monday, a memorial service for Miller will be held at EnergySolutions Arena on February 28.

Deron Williams keyed the victory over the Hornets, collecting 20 points and 13 assists. The star point guard has been strong throughout the homestand, averaging over 22 points and 12 assists in the last four games.

The Hawks have lost their last 14 games here and are 13-17 on the road this season. They are coming off a 108-98 loss at Portland on Friday despite getting 27 points and six rebounds from Mike Bibby.
