Robinson, Knicks set to face Howard, Magic

Feb 25, 2009 - 11:26 AM Orlando (41-15) at New York (24-32) 7:30 p.m. EST

NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Nate Robinson will be looking to top his stellar performance against the Indiana Pacers when the New York Knicks face the Orlando Magic on Wednesday.

Robinson showed off for his friend comedian Will Ferrell, who was sitting courtside, by matching a franchise record with 41 points off the bench on Monday. The diminutive dunk champion gave Ferrell fist pounds after more than one of his key baskets as he put New York on his back en route to a 123-119.

Scoring 32 points after the half and giving the Knicks the lead for good when he picked off an inbounds pass and streaked down the court for a layup with 26 seconds remaining, Robinson added the performance to a growing number of strong showings as he has averaged 30 points over the last six games.

One player Robinson will no longer have to worry about being near the team is Stephon Marbury, who was finally bought out of his contract on Tuesday and is expected to sign with the Boston Celtics.

The Magic are coming off a 120-102 loss at Chicago on Tuesday despite 26 points and 12 rebounds from Dwight Howard and seven players reaching double figures.

Orlando allowed the Bulls to shoot 57 percent (48-of-85) from the floor and were outrebounded, 44-38.
