Winning at home no problem for Mavericks

Feb 25, 2009 - 11:26 AM Milwaukee (28-31) at Dallas (33-23) 8:30 p.m. EST

DALLAS (Ticker) -- After yet another road loss, the Dallas Mavericks are happy to be home.

The Mavericks open a three-game homestand on Wednesday when they return to the American Airlines Center for a meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Fueled by a 34-7 home record, Dallas clinched its eighth straight playoff appearance last season. The Mavericks appear to be headed in the same direction this campaign, posting a 19-4 record at the American Airlines Center after dropping its first four games there.

Despite its stellar mark at home, Dallas sits eighth in the West after winning only four of its last 13 road games, falling to 14-15 away from the American Airlines Center.

The Mavericks have lost each of their last three games on the road, including Tuesday's 93-76 setback to the San Antonio Spurs, who were without two of its top three players in Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.

Dallas hopes to get back on track against the Bucks, who have lost five straight road games against the Mavericks.

Milwaukee snapped a two-game slide Sunday, earning a 120-117 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
