Hornets rolling with West, Chandler in lineup

Feb 27, 2009 - 11:20 AM Milwaukee (28-32) at New Orleans (34-22) 8:00 p.m. EST

NEW ORLEANS (Ticker) -- Finally healthy, the New Orleans Hornets' low-post duo is back to its dominating ways.

David West and Tyson Chandler aim to lead the Hornets to a third straight win when they host the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday.

West, who missed five games last month with back spasms, poured in 30 points and came up with a huge offensive rebound in the closing seconds as New Orleans escaped with a 90-87 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

Chandler added 10 points and a season-high 17 rebounds in his second contest after returning from a 16-game absence due to a sprained left ankle.

West and Chandler's presence opened the floor for point guard Chris Paul, who scored 20 points and added 13 assists against the Pistons.

The Hornets haven't won three games in a row in over a month but have a chance to end that drought against the Bucks, who are coming off a 116-96 rout by the Dallas Mavericks.

The Bucks opened an eight-point lead early in the first quarter only to see the Mavericks catch fire and hand them their third loss in four games.
