Durant, Thunder look to snap skid

Feb 27, 2009 - 11:22 AM Oklahoma City (13-44) at Dallas (34-23), 8:30 p.m. EST

DALLAS (Ticker) -- Kevin Durant has been scoring at will in the month of February. Unfortunately, so have the Oklahoma City Thunder's opponents.

The Thunder hope to snap a six-game losing streak when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Friday.

Oklahoma City has its defense to blame during the skid, as it has allowed 115.6 points over the six games. The Thunder have surrendered 100 points or more in 11 of their past 12 games.

Just 20 years of age, Durant is enjoying the finest month of his career. Durant is averaging 33.1 points and 6.7 rebounds over his last 10 games, shooting 54 percent from the floor.

Now the league's fourth-leading scorer, Durant will try and get his team into the win column against the Mavericks, who are coming off a 116-96 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

Josh Howard scored 27 points and Jason Kidd had 19 for Dallas, which has won nine of its last 13 games.
