Bobcats seeking first three-game road win streak

Feb 28, 2009 - 11:11 AM Charlotte (24-35) at LA Clippers (15-44) 10:30 p.m. EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Charlotte Bobcats suddenly have a road winning streak thanks to a thrilling victory.

The Bobcats try to win three straight games away from home on Saturday when they visit the lowly Los Angeles Clippers.

After earning a seven-point victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday to snap a seven-game road losing streak, Charlotte forged back-to-back victories away from home for the first time since defeating the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons on January 10 and 13 with a 112-109 triumph over the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

Boris Diaw drilled a 3-pointer with 2.9 seconds left to put the Bobcats on top for good against the Warriors, seconds after the forward mistakenly fouled Stephen Jackson in a tie game.

Another win could be on the horizon against the Clippers, who are 8-21 at Staples Center this season and are coming off a 98-86 loss at Sacramento on Friday.

Los Angeles was without rookie guard Eric Gordon after he suffered a bruised left shoulder during a shocking 93-91 victory over the defending champion Boston Celtics on Wednesday and forward Al Thornton, who was bothered by a sore foot, was limited to four points in just under 23 minutes.
