Spurs look to bounce back vs. lowly Clippers

Mar 2, 2009 - 6:14 AM San Antonio (39-19) at LA Clippers (15-45) 10:30 p.m. EST

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- Tim Duncan will be looking to shake off the rust when the San Antonio Spurs visit the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Duncan returned to the lineup on Sunday after a three-game absence due to a sore right knee and managed just 14 points on 6-of-15 shooting. He also had four rebounds in 26 minutes as the Spurs got crushed at Portland, 102-84.

San Antonio allowed the Blazers to shoot 61 percent in the opening half to fall into a 64-37 hole at the break from which it never recovered. Tony Parker scored 15 points and Roger Mason added 13 as only four Spurs reached double figures.

Manu Ginobili missed his seventh straight game with a stress reaction in his right ankle and is not expected back for at least another week.

The Clippers have dropped two in a row, including a 100-95 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday. Los Angeles turned the ball over 15 times and allowing the Bobcats to shoot 10-of-19 from beyond the arc.

Zach Randolph scored 33 points and is averaging over 25 in four games since returning from a two-game suspension for punching a player.
