Bobcats look to push streak to four games vs. Bulls

Mar 3, 2009 - 11:45 AM Chicago (27-33) at Charlotte (25-35) 7:00 p.m. EST

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Charlotte Bobcats will be looking to push their winning streak to a season-high four games when they host the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

The Bobcats have put together just one other three-game spurt this season as coach Larry Brown attempts to find the right rotation.

But after dropping the first two games of a five-game trip against Western Conference teams, Brown seemed the find the correct buttons to push as the team responded with three wins to close the swing instead of collapsing.

They capped the trip with a 100-95 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. Emeka Okafor paced the attack with 28 points and Raymond Felton added 21.

The Bulls are coming off a 105-102 win over the Houston Rockets on Saturday. Derrick Rose scored 16 of his 22 points in the fourth quarter and Ben Gordon added 11 down the stretch as Chicago erased a 17-point deficit and snapped a two-game slide.

Chicago may be without forwards Luol Deng and Tim Thomas, who each received positive news about injuries they suffered against the Rockets.

Deng has a bruised right shin, not a season-ending stress fracture, as the team originally feared. Thomas has a strained quad and is listed as day-to-day.

Charlotte took the first meeting of the season, 110-101, in overtime on December 16 as D.J. Augustin went off for 29 points and seven assists.
