James, Cavs eye season sweep of slumping Bucks

Mar 4, 2009 - 11:22 AM Milwaukee (29-34) at Cleveland (47-12) 7:00 p.m. EST

CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- LeBron James has been powering the Cleveland Cavaliers to victories all season long.

After lifting Cleveland to yet another win, a similar fate could be in store for James and the Cavaliers on Wednesday when they host the Milwaukee Bucks.

Trailing by 11 points with eight minutes remaining on Monday, James and fellow All-Star Mo Williams combined for 25 points as the Cavaliers outscored the Miami Heat 27-9 over the final 7:14, rallying for a 107-100 victory.

James, an MVP candidate, finished with 42 points and the win moved Cleveland 35 games above .500 for the first time in franchise history.

The Cavaliers may be in for another milestone against the Bucks, who have lost all three meetings this season while failing to slow James.

The 24-year-old phenom is averaging 42.7 points per game against Milwaukee this campaign - his highest average against any opponent in 2008-09.

The Bucks led by as many as 10 points on Tuesday, but were outscored 23-11 over the final 4:01, suffering their third loss in four games during a 99-95 setback to the New Jersey Nets.
