Bucks try to get back into playoff picture vs. Warriors
Mar 7, 2009 - 11:21 AM Golden State (21-41) at Milwaukee (29-36) 8:30 p.m. ESTMILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- The Milwaukee Bucks have been impressively holding on in the Eastern Conference playoff race for the last few weeks. After all, they lost All-Star Michael Redd for the season, while fellow starters Andrew Bogut and Luke Ridnour have also missed major playing time.
But they finally fell out of the top eight on Friday night, losing to the Chicago Bulls. They remain in the hunt and will try to get things back in order on Saturday as they host the Golden State Warrriors.
However, thanks to a three-game losing streak, the Bucks also stand to lose more ground. New Jersey, Charlotte, Indiana and New York are all lingering just a game or two behind.
The Warriors have endured a rough season and have even seen their offense falter lately. They have been held under the 100-point mark in each of the last two games - both losses - after surpassing the plateau in 12 consecutive contests.
