EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks will be searching for a better defensive effort when they face the New Jersey Nets on Sunday.

New York ranks last in the Eastern Conference in scoring defense, yielding an average of 108.2 points per game.

The Nets have dropped two straight, including a 105-102 loss at Orlando on Friday. Devin Harris scored 25 points and Vince Carter added 19 but New Jersey was outrebounded 48-33.

The teams have met only once this season, with the Knicks grabbing a 121-109 win behind 39 points from Al Harrington on December 12.
