Blazers put home win streak on the line vs. Lakers
Mar 9, 2009 - 1:29 PM LA Lakers (50-12) at Portland (39-23), 10:00 p.m. EDTPORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- The Portland Trail Blazers will try and win their 12th straight home game when they host the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday.
Portland, which has not lost at the Rose Garden since a January 21 setback to Cleveland, is coming off a 95-93 victory over Minnesota on Saturday.
Brandon Roy scored 31 points in the win for the Blazers, who have lost both meetings with the Lakers this season on the road.
Los Angeles is opening a three-game road trip is coming off back-to-back home wins - which followed consecutive defeats on the road.
Kobe Bryant scored 23 points and Pau Gasol had 21 as the Lakers defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 110-90, on Friday.
The win marked the 30th time in franchise history that the Lakers have won at least 50 contests.
