PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Brandon Roy continues to make his way up the list of top NBA players and the Portland Trail Blazers continue their march toward the playoffs when they face the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

Roy scored 27 points on Monday as the Blazers took down the best team in the Western Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers, 111-94. He is averaging 26.8 over the last five games, with Portland going 4-1 over that span.

The Blazers have done the bulk of their damage at home this season, compiling a 27-5 record at the Rose Garden. They are halfway through a four-game homestand.

The Mavericks have won three of four and are coming off a 122-117 over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Dirk Nowitzki scored 34 points and Jason Terry added 25 as Dallas shot 53 percent from the field.

The Mavericks have taken both meetings this season, including a 104-92 win here on December 25 in which Nowitzki scored 30 points.
