SuperSonics can win fourth straight without Allen
Dec 12, 2006 - 3:08 PM Seattle (10-11) at Milwaukee (8-12) 8:00 pm ESTMILWAUKEE (Ticker) -- Even with their best player sidelined, the Seattle SuperSonics are in the midst of one of their better stretches of the campaign.
The SuperSonics look to extend their winning streak to a season-high four games without superstar Ray Allen on Tuesday when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks.
Averaging 25.3 points this season, the 31-year-old Allen has sat out the last three contests with a bone bruise in his right foot and will miss a few more games. In his last outing, he scored 33 points against the Utah Jazz on December 2.
Since then, Seattle has found different ways to keep winning. After limiting the New Orleans Hornets to just 74 points on Friday - including only 12 in the fourth quarter - the SuperSonics came within two points of a season high in Sunday's 117-115 victory over the Golden State Warriors.
Four Seattle players reached the 20-point mark for the first time since March 8, 1996. Luke Ridnour scored 26 points, Rashard Lewis added 25, Damien Wilkens 22 and Earl Watson 20 off the bench.
Although they are 4-4 at home this season, the Bucks have won their last two at the Bradley Center. However, they are coming off Saturday's 115-107 defeat on the road against the New York Knicks.
Mo Williams made 14-of-22 shots and scored a season-high 33 points and is Milwaukee's second-leading scorer (15.6). Charlie Villanueva added 24 and Michael Redd 22 for the Bucks.
The Bucks have won three of the last four home meetings against Seattle and hold a 41-17 home edge in the all-time series.
