Kidd, Nets eye third straight home win vs. Bucks

Dec 13, 2006 - 4:42 PM Milwaukee (9-12) at New Jersey (8-12) 7:30 pm EST

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- After moving into sole possession of third place on the all-time triple-doubles list, Jason Kidd attempts to lead the New Jersey Nets to their third straight home win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday.

With 12 points, 13 assists and 10 rebounds, Kidd recorded his 79th career triple-double, moving him ahead of icon Wilt Chamberlain in Monday's 105-92 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies.

In the first matchup here against the Bucks on November 15, the Nets posted a 100-87 triumph. Kidd collected 25 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and three steals.

Also in Monday's win, Vince Carter netted 37 points, including a team-record nine 3-pointers, and Richard Jefferson added 16 points for New Jersey, which held a 44-38 edge in rebounding.

Milwaukee hopes to build off a 94-93 victory over Seattle on Tuesday. Michael Redd scored 22 points, Ruben Patterson 21 and Andrew Bogut 16 with nine boards and six assists.

Bogut sank the decisive foul shot with 74 seconds left for the Bucks, who shot just 1-of-13 from the arc.
